EUROPEAN PETANQUECHAMPIONSHIPS 2026
EUROPEAN PETANQUEVolunteer at the European Petanque Championships “Loutraki 2026” and experience a major international sporting event from the inside.
The Hellenic Petanque Federation is hosting in Greece for the first time the 14th European Junior & Espoirs Triples Championship and the 12th European Women’s Triples Championship. To welcome around 550 members of national delegations from across Europe, the event needs people with energy, a smile and team spirit.

Meet people from different cultures and practise foreign languages.
Gain valuable experience in sports administration and event organisation.
Take an active part in offering Greek hospitality to the European delegations.
Accreditations, bags, information and delegation guidance.
Accreditation checks and support for smooth flow in the dining area.
Support athlete and delegation movements whenever required.
Care, maintenance, marking and cleanliness of the playing areas.
English and French language support for the secretariat and special cases.
Immediate support wherever operational needs arise.
The final individual schedule will depend on each volunteer’s duties and the competition programme.
Courtesy, a smile and hospitality are essential. Arrive at your assigned area 20 minutes before your shift and wear the official volunteer shirt and accreditation at all times.
Prepare and maintain terrains, check surfaces, markings and signs, keep areas clean and organise the playing space.
Prepare and distribute ID badges and bags, welcome delegations, provide information, guide teams and distribute the official programme.
Support medical incidents and the secretariat with translations or clarifications. Key languages: French and English.
Escort athletes when required and cover urgent or unforeseen needs to keep the event running smoothly.
Volunteers in this area will be called on 19 and 20 September 2026 to install perimeter boards and internal rope court structures.
